Today marks the two year anniversary of Super Storm Sandy.  Earlier, I shared the following poem about Sandy on Facebook. I was in Mantoloking that night, and for 8 days straight afterwards. Two years ago today, the island was in a bad wayWater covered us several feet deepThe lapping waves kept sleep at bay

Two years after Sandy, we’re doing pretty wellHouses are going upBut the roads are still bad as hell

The streets are dryNo storms in sightIt might just be a quiet night

Whoever you areWherever you dwellBe thankful that you survived Sandy’s Halloween spell…
