What is the Barnegat Bay Blitz?
The Barnegat Bay Blitz is a partnership event spearheaded by the NJDEP and the NJ Clean Communities Council in an effort to bring together citizens, students, businesses and local governments to help clean up and foster a greater appreciation for the Barnegat Bay and its’ 660 square mile watershed.
This Thursday at 8:30 AM, concerned residents and citizens of the Barnegat Bay watershed (which includes Bay Head, Mantoloking, and many other towns) will be meeting at the Bay Head School to kickoff this event. Other towns throughout Ocean County and elsewhere along the bay are holding events too. If you want to take part in this special community event, show up wearing sturdy shoes, and bring a pair of garden gloves.
