Downer Avenue will be partially closed for the next two weeks due to construction work at the site of the new Mantoloking Borough Hall. From the Mantoloking website:
“TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Please be advised that starting Wednesday July 26, 2017 Sparta Steel will start the Steel Erection on Borough Hall. A crane will set up on the street on Downer Avenue and will be there for Approximately 2 weeks.
Monday through Friday Downer west of the post office to Bay Ave will be shut down to all vehicle traffic. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be restricted to the south sidewalk. On Saturday and Sunday one lane of vehicle traffic will be able to pass. Pedestrian are encouraged to only use the sidewalk.”
