It is expected that delivery of the steel for the revetment that is to be constructed in Brick and Mantoloking will begin on Monday, June 23rd. The Brick Beach parking areas were serve as the initial staging area, and from there, steel will be distributed to other areas for stockpiling. Construction of the revetment is scheduled to start on July 7th, to avoid interfering with the July 4th holiday. At least two crews will be used to install the steel, and it is estimated that each crew may be able to install up to 250 feet of steel per day, if all goes according to plan.
