As you’ve probably already heard, Prince Harry visited Mantoloking and Seaside on Tuesday of this week. As things worked out, I was lucky enough to greet him and shake hands with him, which was quite an experience. He arrived in Mantoloking via car, and walked from approximately 1103 Barnegat Lane down to Herbert Street, and was accompanied by Chris Christie, and George Nebel, the Mayor of Mantoloking.

Near the bottom of Barnegat Lane, he was greeted by a variety of people, including the Mantoloking borough council, as well as members of the public works, police, and emergency management departments. By virtue of my status as a volunteer for the Office of Emergency Management ( and as a resident), I was lucky enough to be included in this group. Harry seemed to be quite personable, was interested in Mantoloking’s plight, and I enjoyed meeting him.
