The Ocean County Board of Social Services has just established a program to benefit primary homeowners who are over age 60, and who had damage to their home due to Sandy.
You must meet the following requirements.
1) Reside in Ocean County
2) Seniors 60+ or disabled can apply
3) Damage from Sandy
4) Homeowner
5) Primary residence
6) FEMA and insurance documentation
7) Allowed up to $5,000 per household.
There may be additional requirements, but I have not yet seen documentation of them. I have spoken to the Ocean County Board of Social Services, and all that is necessary at this time is to call and provide your basic contact information – someone will follow up with further application instructions.
