Any time of year, but especially as the weather improves, it is always nice to go out for dinner.  Charlie’s is open, and quite enjoyable, but as you may know, they can get quite busy!  Another nearby option is River Market in Point Pleasant Beach.  Prior to Sandy, they were located in Toms River, but have now been on Bay Avenue for a number of years.  They are a small venue, but the menu is always fresh and varied, with something for everyone. If you are looking for a quick breakfast, lunch, or just coffee, consider Local Urban Kitchen on Route 35 in Point Pleasant Beach.  I have often taken food from Local Urban Kitchen out on by boat for a picnic as well, and it has always been good.  Last but not least, if you live in northern New Jersey, you may know the Bernards Inn.  It is always good for a special occasion, whether brunch or dinner, and a nice place to stay overnight as well.  My wife and I both enjoy cooking, and we recently spent a few hours in the kitchen learning from the executive chef and pastry chef, and then enjoyed dinner as well.  Suzie and her husband John, and my wife Meagan and I all enjoying going out to eat – if there is a place that you think we should know about, please tell us!
