Progress continues to be made towards the ground breaking for a new borough hall in Mantoloking. The Notice to Bidders was published this week, and further details can be found below.
Per the Mantoloking RBHC:
As noted in the April 26 council presentation NJ law normally requires a 5% down payment as part of any bond funding process, although a special waiver can be granted. Recently, we were granted the waiver and as a result, we do not need to use our current reserves to fund the project.
FEMA has extended the deadline for our use of the $1.1 million grant from October 2016 to October 2017.
Construction estimates continue to highlight the probability of a building cost savings of approximately $700,000
The bid packages were released and we hope to be able to award the contract by the July 19 Town Council meeting.
The RBHC will hold an information session on the new borough hall project on Sunday July 17 at 11 am in the fire house. A short presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
