We hope that you’re having a good spring!  A lot has happened in Bay Head and Mantoloking in March, and the activity continues in April.

  • In Mantoloking, beach replenishment is expected to start near Downer Avenue on or about June 30th – this is the latest information available, but it could change…

  • Bay Head has moved into their new borough hall, and we have been told that there will probably be a grand opening in late May or early June.  As aside, if you have not done so, you may want to register a key with the police department – this can be very helpful in an emergency.

  • Please be aware that there is a NEW TRAFFIC LIGHT in operation at Lyman Street in Mantoloking, and most traffic lights on Route 35 have been replaced or upgraded.

  • The town lot that surrounds Bay Head’s new borough hall has been repaved, and looks quite good!

  • The updated Mantoloking garbage and recycling schedule and flyer for 2017 (including the summer) have been posted – you can find them here.

  • The case that a group of Bay Head oceanfront homeowners has against the state regarding beach replenishment continues to be in the news.

  • Spring is definitely here, and the ocean (video) and other local scenes (video) are starting to reflect that.

  • Though Charlie’s is open, it can get quite busy (definitely make a reservation)!  If you would like another good, local alternative, consider River Market in Point Pleasant Beach.

As mentioned previously, the real estate market has been quite active.  Currently, there are 58 properties (homes and land) on the market in Bay Head and Mantoloking.  Of those, 27 have come on the market since March 1st, including our new listings at 940 Barnegat Lane and 955 South Lagoon Lane.  Please note that some of these properties have been on the market in the recent past. We also have a new listing at 201 Squan Beach Drive in Curtis Point.  There are currently 13 properties under contract in the two towns combined.  Since March 1st, there have been 4 closings in Bay Head & Mantoloking combined.    Please let us know if you have any questions about these statistics (per the Monmouth/Ocean MLS, and current as of April 10, 2017), or if you have specific questions about a property that you own or would like to buy.

The video below is from a recent sunrise in Mantoloking, and more photos and videos can be found elsewhere on our website.

If you have questions about any of the information we have shared, or if we can help you in any way, please let us know.

Thank you!
