As was announced at last night’s Mantoloking Council Meeting, Mantoloking and Brick will be receiving a steel dune revetment, courtesy of the state and federal governments. 80% of the cost will be covered by the federal government, and the remaining 20% will be covered by the State of New Jersey. This will provide temporary dune protection to both towns, and will ultimately be integrated into the Army Corps of Engineers beach replenishment project. You can read more about this project here.
