On Tuesday night, the House of Representatives voted in support of a bill that would effectively curtail proposed flood insurance rate hikes, and reverse many of the changes that were made to the flood insurance legislation in 2012.  In order to become law, this bill has to pass the Senate (or merge with a bill previously passed in January), and receive President Obama’s approval.  There are many legislators and other entities that speak out both for and against the proposed law.  You can read further about this here.
