February has been a busy month here in Bay Head and Mantoloking!
Bay Head has started the process of moving into their new borough hall.
Mantoloking broke ground for its new borough hall.
Charlie’s, the new restaurant is open, and is quite busy – definitely make a reservation if you want to go!
The beach in both towns is slowly coming back – steps that recently dangled in mid-air are now accessible in many cases. You can find photos and videos here. Beach replenishment is expected to start in Mantoloking in the next few months.
February has also seen quite a bit of real estate activity in Bay Head and Mantoloking, mostly in the form of new listings (some of which have just come back on the market after the holidays at reduced prices). In the two towns combined, there are currently 41 homes on the market, six under contract, and there were two closings last month (including our listing at 1035 Barnegat Lane. Fifteen homes either were new to the market in February, or were relisted. If you have any questions about these statistics, would like information about land transactions, or have questions about your own property, please let us know.
Last but not least, the Mantoloking Environmental Commission (of which Ed is a member) just published their March 2017 Tip of the Month, regarding the proper selection and use of ice and snow melt products, in such a way so as to minimize their impact on the environment.
If you have questions about any of the information we have shared, or if we can help you in any way, please let us know.
Thank you!
