Per an agreement between the state Department of Transportation and the boroughs of Bay Head and Mantoloking, Route 35 construction activity was scheduled to shut down at noon today. According to sources, Downer Avenue will remain as pictured for the summer. Both sidewalks on Downer are open, and there is driveway access for the residences that front on Downer. Lyman is also in a similar condition. Construction is scheduled to resume on September 3rd. We will see what actually happens.
