As usual, the beaches in Mantoloking and Bay Head are making a strong comeback after the winter. I was on the beach near Downer recently, and took the pictures and video below. During the dead of winter, over a dozen feet of the steel wall was exposed, now, near Downer, only five feet is exposed. The start of beach replenishment in Mantoloking has been delayed by about two months, due to the contract in Atlantic County taking longer than expected. Details can be found below.

“We learned last night that the beach replenishment start date has been pushed back two months because the work that contractor is currently working on in Atlantic county is taking longer than anticipated. We will have more details at the council meeting on Tuesday.”
