You have probably seen the news of clinging jellyfish locally. These are small jellyfish, about the size of a quarter, and provide enough venom to send grown adults to the ER in crippling pain. They have been seen from Cape May to Sandy Hook, including in Barnegat Bay and in the Metedeconk River. They have been spotted in rivers, bays, and areas of brackish water, in shallow estuaries, and eelgrass beds. As water temperatures warm up to about 82 degrees, the jellyfish will die off, usually by early or mid-July. As you are on the bay or rivers, please be alert. They have not been seen in the ocean.

Market
We continue to see good activity in all of the local markets that we serve - Bay Head, Mantoloking, and beyond. A few highlights from the last several weeks:
717 East Avenue, Bay Head, was sold by an agent in our office, closing at $16,000,000 (originally asking $20,000,000, then reduced to $17,000,000)
Our listing at 202 Lake Avenue, asking $1,300,000, received 40 showings and 12 offers in less than a week, and is now under contract.
40 Karge Street, listed by an agent in our office, received multiple offers, and is now under contract.
Well priced homes and properties continue to sell, sometimes over asking price, and with multiple offers. All of this continues to make proper pricing and marketing even more important!
Other noteworthy market happenings include our client’s recent purchase at 525 East in Bay Head (asking $6,900,000) and that we recently sold our listing 1519 Runyon Lane in Mantoloking (asking $2,250,000).
