Construction continues throughout Bay Head and Mantoloking these days, both road construction and house construction.  As I write this, many new homes are being built, existing homes are being renovated, and still more homes are being elevated.  Lots of progress continues to be made as we approach the two year anniversary of Sandy, and the appearance of both towns to continues to improve by leaps and bounds!

Currently, Mount Street is closed where it intersects Lake Avenue to allow installation of the new Route 35 drainage system.  Throughout much of Mantoloking, the southbound lane of Route 35 is being paved, and the northbound lane in Bay Head is being prepared for paving.  Lyman Street, between Barnegat Lane and Route 35 is often impassable due to Route 35 drainage construction.

In addition, the last piece of steel for Mantoloking’s steel revetment was scheduled to be driven today.  In the coming weeks, steel revetment installation will continue south into Brick Township.  Please use caution in both towns due to the construction activity!
